Rifle Elk Hunts

Our guided Montana elk hunt offers you a variety of options.  We offer wilderness hunts where our camps are secluded in the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness, accessible only by foot or horseback.  These camps involve a 3-4 hour horseback ride in where you will have the opportunity of enjoying the beautiful scenery of western Montana along the way.  The wilderness rifle  Montana elk hunts are always a memorable experience and a thrill for the avid hunter wanting to get away from everything and be in the middle of elk country and the best mother nature has to offer.

These remote camps consist of canvas wall tents warmed by wood heat in the sleeping quarters and the cook tent.  We supply cots, tables, propane lighting, home cooked  style meals, bathroom and shower tents.   You will find that camp can be quite comfortable and cozy.  The somber glow that welcomes you back in the evening after a day of  elk hunting is a sight that so many will never experience and one that you will truly treasure.

Your Montana elk hunt will bring you memories that will last a lifetime with an experienced guide, friendly staff and breath taking scenery.  Our Montana guides are skilled in glassing (locating) elk and getting the hunter as close as they can to get them the best shot possible at that trophy bull.  Montana rifle elk hunts are a great item to add to any bucket list.

We prefer camps of two hunters and one guide to minimize hunting impact per week but can accommodate larger groups in some situations.  Camp hunts run for 7 days, consisting of a half day trip into camp, 5 days of uninterrupted days of hunting and a half day out of camp.  If you are seeking a  hunt to always treasure and remember then this is the hunt for you.    A Montana guided hunt is  a great way to leave  life's busy hustle and bustle  behind for a while and enjoy what mother nature has in store for you.  Montana elk hunting has always been a thrill and dream to many.  We are here to help you fulfill the elk hunting experience you have always dreamed of.

We also offer guided winter range hunts based in Hamilton Montana where you will stay with us at our home base with the guides meeting their hunters early each morning and bringing them back each evening where you can take your boots off, shower and enjoy a hot meal, visit with the guides and other hunters to swap stories and make plans for the next morning's hunt before settling into your room.  This hunt allows guides to be more flexible in areas they hunt depending on weather conditions, snow level and elk migrations.

Glassing meadows and vast areas of old burn from high vantage points is very effective for locating game in late season conditions.  Horses are available if needed for quicker, easier travel if guide desires.

We have access to local taxidermists and meat processors to help harvest and preserve your trophy.  Though we cannot guarantee that every hunt will be a successful hunt, we do all we can to locate the game, cater to our hunters needs and provide a pleasant, memorable experience with memories to last a lifetime.  Since spikes are not legal and we have a restricted cow harvest, you have the opportunity to harvest a mature bull.

A zeroed high powered rifle is recommended.  Expect shots from 100-400 yards.  It is important that you are comfortable with your rifle.
